Wharf One Food & Wine offers guests a fun and casual dining experience. Situated in a beautiful water-side location, this venue offers the best in service and Modern Australian cuisine. Specialise in wood grill cooking and seasonal local produce.

Open 7 days for lunch and dinner, offering a seasonal a-la-carte menu it also operates as a function venue for events, up to 700 guests cocktail.

About The Role…

You will be an experienced wait staff who is up for a new challenge. You will have extensive experience in a high end fast service environment that is heavily customer service focused.

Key responsibilities include

Provide exceptional table service in a fast paced, high quality dining environment

Have a thorough understanding of our food & beverage menu with emphasis on local produce & wine knowledge

Be warm, personable and sociable. Bring your personality to the table

Excellent communication skills to liaise confidently with guests at all levels

Confident up-selling of food and beverages to customers

Cash handling

About you…

Essential experience

Minimum of 3 years experience working in a fast pace, large A-La-Carte restaurant is essential

Experience from working in the events environment will be advantageous

Strong knowledge of a range of Australian wines, beers & cocktails

Work in a team based environment and autonomously

Experience with bar and coffee service

Be able to use a point of sales system

A working understanding of Food safety Standards

A current valid RSA certificate

Essential qualities & behaviour

A passion for people and providing unforgettable guest experience

A team player that is reliable, punctual and honest

Possess initiative and passion for the hospitality industry

Professional, outgoing demeanor and a “can do” positive attitude

Excellent time management skills and the ability to stay calm under pressure

Impeccable presentation, hygiene and grooming standards

Flexible availability over a 7 day rotating roster, including nights, weekends and public holiday
