Splunk is searching for a Field Marketing Specialist with a consistent track record of leading successful marketing teams and strategies aligned to sales priorities and review targets. As our organization changes and grows, you’ll lead the way in developing programs to help generate new pipeline and accelerate adoption in existing customer accounts, while driving new logo acquisition. This is a great opportunity for a sharp, eager Field Marketing Specialist interested in jumping on board with one of the fastest growing companies in the Big Data space. This role has high executive visibility and an opportunity for growth within the organization. Responsibilities:

Build, plan aligned to sales priorities and revenue targets

Lead integrated marketing programs to drive pipeline growth and customer loyalty with customer and prospect organizations. Programs include Splunk led events, regional sponsorships, executive events, hands-on workshops and more to showcase customer success and demonstrate the value of Splunk to support new customer acquisition and expansion.

Understand the segment specific trends and customize programs as needed

Communicate all marketing plans, activities and report program results consistently to sales

Develop strategic plans mapped to sales priorities and goals

Manage channel marketing strategy and execution

Track program results, measure program success, and report metrics via SFDC and presentations to AVP and marketing team

Support the Field Marketing Managers on events such as SplunkLive, third party conferences and tradeshows.

Event management including coordination, logistics and internal/external communications across end user webinars, workshops and partner enablement training.

Monitor and track program execution metrics. Provide ROI analysis of investments and success measurement of programs.

Assist in marketing operations reporting, purchase orders and invoicing.

Be the key contact person between partner’s (distributor, reseller, alliance) and Splunk marketing community.

Business partner to sales & channel partners, work closely with country sales, channel team and partners to determine the most effective programs to drive revenue for the region and deliver the greatest ROI on MDF investment.

Follow guidelines and workflow to maximize the ROI from marketing development fund (MDF) utilization and performance. Requirements:

Minimum of 5 years Marketing or Field Marketing Experience, ideally in B2B Software

Passion for learning, passion for new and emerging technology trends

Used to create campaigns and track program performance

Managed event logistics from planning through follow-up

Created crafty, compelling content, with a good eye for editing and proofreading

Used Eloqua or similar software to execute email programs and track effectiveness

Can hit aggressive deadlines while delivering high quality work

Written and spoken communication that is clear and concise

Manage to budget

Ability to influence others in a cross-functional team

Passion for learning, passion for new and emerging technology trends
