Early Childhood Teacher (ECT) Full Time Contract – ULTIMO (Inner City Sydney), NSW
Looking for an experienced Early Childhood teacher who values making a difference in children’s lives, thrives on partnering with families, is keen to further develop their skills and wants to join a passionate, capable and dedicated team on working Monday and Friday 8 hours per day commencing the 5th Feb 2018 for a 1 year contract.
This Children’s Centre is known for providing quality service to children in the local community. The team is known for their focused, play based education approach. You will be joining a truly dedicated team whose Director is highly experienced and will provide you with ongoing support in your career. The centre is accessible by buses and is within walking distance from Ultimo TAFE.
The impact you’ll have
To assist the Director in leading and work as a member of a co-operative team in order to provide an appropriate educational program for the children within her/his care.
To ensure that up to date records are maintained for each child under that persons care.
To ensure that the policies and the funding authorities are implemented in providing appropriate care and educational programs for children. Looking for:
You to be passionate about early childhood education and committed to achieving positive outcomes. In addition you will have:
Holds a current, state based Working with Children Check, Vulnerable People’s check or Blue Card.
Work rights to enable you to work in Australia
Must be over 18 years of age.
Recognised Early Childhood teaching degree level of qualification in Early Childhood or similar as approved by Australian Children’s Education and Quality Authority (ACECQA)
Sound understanding of the Education and Care Services National Law (2010) and the Education and Care Services National Regulations (2011) and how they apply in your state
Working knowledge of the Early Years Learning Frameworks (EYLF) (VEYLF)
Knowledge of recent changes to regulations
Professional level of written and verbal communication skills
Current knowledge of Child Protection legislation and its implications for the care and protection of children
A current Senior First Aid certificate as approved by ACECQA
Current approved Asthma Management training
Current approved Anaphylaxis Management training
